- A REALTORŪ is a member of the National Association of REALTORSŪ and subscribes to its strict Code of Ethics.
- The Code establishes time-honored and baseline principles that come from the collective experiences of REALTORSŪ since the Code of Ethics was first established in 1913. Those principles can be loosely defined as:
- Loyalty to clients;
- Fiduciary (legal) duty to clients;
- Cooperation with competitors;
- Truthfulness in statements and advertising; and non-interference in exclusive relationships that other REALTORSŪ have with their clients.
- To earn a designation, a REALTORŪ has taken additional coursework and demonstrated specific skills, performance and knowledge in a particular area of the real estate industry. I have earned the Certified Residental Specialist (CRS) designation, which less than 5% of agents across the country have obtained, the Accredited Buyer's Specialist (ABR) designation, the e-Pro which is internet protocol, the Graduate, Realtor Institution (GRI), the Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE), and the Short Sale and Foreclosure designations (SFR).
- I have been a REALTOR for 19 years and am now licensed in both New York State and in the State of Louisiana. If you are thinking of buying a property or relocating to New Orleans and are looking for a buyer's agent to represent you in your purchase I am an Accredited Buyer's Representative. You are welcome to call me or email and I will be glad to answer your questions. 508-908-2268. If you are in the initial stages of searching for properties and are not ready to contact an agent yet - please feel free to search. In fact I will wait until you call me, that's the way I roll.
